Cyclic testing with fluid in the range of relative larger automotive objects of Hydrogen vessels and storage tanks. To allow accurate pressure control, pressure generation is arranged by use of high pressure 20 liter stroke volume single shot intensifier. With these hydraulic driven intensifiers, pressure generation is arranged by just a single stroke allowing full control of both the pressure build and bleed curve. Within the Hydrogen automotive market, components are used that require extensive testing procedures to achieve product validation. The Resato HTT-C is focusing on cyclic testing of category 4 tanks from 30 up to 500 liters with fluid (Regular approx. 22.000 cycles per test according to R134 batch testing).

Description

The Resato hydraulic driven unit is designed to test vessel fully automated, de-airing included. The setup consists of one high pressure module with two test chambers. The pre-fill module contains the medium supply and pump, with manual tank fill, circulation and de-airing of DUT’s. The intensifiers with connect ed test lines are responsible for rapid pressurization and de-pressurization. These intensifiers are powered by the hydraulic module. This module consists of an oil supply, a cooling loop and two identical pumps and valve work. The intensifiers are so-called “single-shot”. This means that they only have their estimated 20 liter stroke volume to pressurize a vessel.

A test is started by attaching one or two vessels to the test lines. All required parameters are filled in in the HMI and after de-airing, the test can be started. This can be: • Test line 1 • Test line 2 • Test line 1 & 2 simultaneously (in case one large vessel is attached to both lines) •Test line 1 & 2 non-communicating (in case two smaller vessels are tested)

After a test has been completed, a test report is automatically generated.

Safety

A safety system with a status light, door switches & locks to secure the test environment are recommended. Emergency shutdown buttons are included.
