FOOD PRESERVATION UNITS Type HPP

The Resato HPP food processing units are designed for hydrostatic research on behavior of food at pressures up to 10.000 bar / 145.000 psi. With a combined temperature range of -20° to +120°C

The fully computer controlled system uses a database in which different test cycles can be programmed. This ensures reproducible examination. Variables like pressure, pressure build up curve, isolation time and temperature are easily programmed on the touch screen operating panel. Pressure build up is performed with hydraulic driven reciprocating intensifiers to minimize pressure fluctuations and ensure smooth pressure control. As an alternative, single shot intensifier systems are available.

FOOD PRESERVATION UNITS Type HPP

UNIT DESCRIPTION

OPERATING A run is started by filling up the sample container which is followed by positioning it into its autoclave. A fully automatic pressurizing procedure will be performed after the start button is pressed. This includes programming of sample(s) in a run with programmable pressure and isolation time condition(s). To ensure reproducible research results a database is used to program different test cycles. All data like pressure, pressure build up, isolation time and sample temperature (if applicable) are logged by the system. SAFETY When the emergency stop button near the touch screen is pressed, the system will stop and release to a safe situation immediately. SERVICE Our company’s forte is our fast and efficient service. F a st, because we manufacture most of the parts for the equipment we build. Consequently, we usually have these parts in stock. All our service technicians are thoroughly trained in-house. So our clients can count both on prompt delivery of any spare part and on the shortest possible downtime if a defect in their equipment should occur. The computerized setups are provided with integrated TCP/IP connection which means that we can give you full worldwide service support from our home office if required. CERTIFICATES The Resato HPP- series are supplied with a test certificate for the complete system, calibration report(s) for the temperature- pressure transmitter and an operating and maintenance manual.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

GENERAL In general, three different types of systems are available: indirectly pressurized systems with a multi vessel, indirectly pressurized systems with a single vessel system and directly pressurized systems with a single vessel system. Indirectly pressurized systems are pressurized by use of a separate ultra high pressure pump. Directly pressurized systems are pressurized by use of a plunger activated single vessel. For research application, indirect systems are commonly used. MULTI VESSEL AUTOCLAVE TABLE A stainless steel multi vessel table can be provided with several autoclaves. These are multi-layer, shrink design to ensure maximum safety when performing sample runs. A multiple vessel system is used whenever accurate comparisons are made between (different) samples. SINGLE VESSEL SYSTEM A fully stainless steel entrance to a large diameter pressure vessel enables high pressure processing on larger volume products. A multi-layer (shrink design) ensures maximum safety when performing sample runs. Opening and closing of the high pressure vessel is fully automated to minimize the risk of human errors which can lead to high risk and costs. PUMP The hydraulically driven double acting reciprocating intensifier system operates according to the pressure intensifier principle to minimize pressure fluctuations. The electric motor drives a hydraulic pump. The oil of the hydraulic pump is used to drive the oil operated double acting intensifier. In the intensifier the pressure of the pressure fluid is transformed up to 10.000 bar / 145.000 psi. By use of ceramic plungers for the intensifier, a long lifetime is warranted. The system is pressurized by means of build in air-driven high pressure pump without mechanical pilot valves. OPERATING CONSOLE The Resato FPU hydrostatic system enables you to pressure the autoclave(s). The process parameters are simply entered on the 17” touch screen of the operating panel. This approach provides maximum safety and easy operation. THERMAL CONDITIONING SYSTEM (OPTIONAL) The thermal conditioning system can be an integrated part of the ultra-high pressure food processing setup. An external thermal conditioning system controls the process temperature of the autoclave(s) for low and high temperature range. Process temperature is automatically controlled and easily programmed on the touch screen operating panel.
